Canadabalances.ca Returns, Exchanges & Refunds Policy

At Canadabalances.ca, we aim to supply the correct product in good condition and to handle return requests fairly and consistently.

1. Return authorization required

No merchandise may be returned for credit, exchange, inspection, or refund without prior authorization from Canadabalances.

Before returning an item, please contact us at orders@canadasieves.ca or 1-800-463-4363 with:

  • your order number or invoice number;
  • product name and model number;
  • reason for the return;
  • photos, if the product is damaged, incorrect, or defective.

If your return is approved, we will provide return instructions and, where applicable, a return authorization number.

2. Standard return window

Subject to the exclusions below, return requests for eligible items should be submitted within 15 days of receipt.

Requests made after that period may be refused or handled only under warranty or other applicable legal rights.

3. Condition of returned items

To be eligible for return, products must generally be:

  • unused
  • complete and in the same condition as received;
  • in original packaging, with manuals, accessories, inserts, and protective materials;
  • free from customer-caused damage, contamination, misuse, or modification.

All returns are subject to inspection upon receipt.

4. Non-returnable or restricted items

Unless required by law or approved by us in writing, the following items may be non-returnable or subject to special conditions:

  • special-order or custom products;
  • calibrated or configured
  • legal-for-trade products once installed, sealed, used commercially, or registered;
  • opened consumables or products with hygiene-sensitive contact surfaces;
  • clearance, final-sale, or discontinued items;
  • products damaged by misuse, improper installation, unauthorized repair, or neglect.

5. Incorrect, damaged, or incomplete orders

If you receive the wrong item, a damaged item, or an incomplete shipment, contact us promptly, preferably within [3 business days] of delivery.

We may request photographs, packaging details, serial numbers, and other information needed to review the issue. Depending on the circumstances, we may offer replacement, repair, missing-part shipment, store credit, or refund.

6. Defective products and warranty claims

If a product appears defective, we may first troubleshoot the issue with you or refer the matter to the manufacturer where appropriate.

Products covered by a manufacturer’s warranty may be repaired, replaced, or otherwise handled in accordance with the applicable warranty terms. Canadabalances may assist with the warranty process but final manufacturer authorization may be required.

7. Restocking fees and return shipping

For discretionary returns of non-defective items, the following may apply:

  • return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer;
  • original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error;
  • restocking fees of 25% may apply where stated at the time of authorization or where imposed by the manufacturer.

If the return is due to our shipping error, confirmed damage on arrival, or an approved defect claim, we may cover reasonable return shipping or provide an alternative remedy.

8. Refunds

Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If a refund is approved, it will generally be issued to the original payment method within [5–15 business days], subject to payment processor timing. Refunds may be reduced by applicable restocking fees, shipping charges, missing components, or product condition issues, where permitted.

9. Exchanges

Exchanges may be offered in place of refunds where appropriate and subject to stock availability, product eligibility, and pricing differences.

10. Consumer rights

Nothing in this Returns Policy is intended to limit any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.

In particular, certain cancellation, refund, legal warranty, or chargeback rights may apply under consumer protection legislation, including in cases where required pre-contract information was not provided, the contract copy was not properly supplied, the order is not delivered within the applicable time, or the product is defective.
